Hey everyone! Quick but important update regarding the future of Project O.A.S.I.S.
Indiegogo was essentially a quick public field test to see how people reacted. Let’s be honest, that platform has a negligible user base looking for specialized tactical hardware. Even so, the response was solid: we hit 11,000 EUR with just a handful of orders from the other side of the world, which proved the engineering and core concept stand strong on their own merits.
So what happens next?
I am currently setting up a much larger, dedicated campaign on Kickstarter, where the community around rugged tech, EDC, and off-grid gear is massively bigger.
On top of that, the design hasn’t stayed static. Based on field testing and feedback, I’ve already implemented several major production upgrades:
– The SDR RTL V4 module is now 100% integrated internally with its own dedicated power line—meaning zero external USB dongles sticking out and zero risk of snapping the unit when closing the lid, while remaining completely user-accessible and swappable for future upgrades.
– The antenna feed for the SDR is now integrated into the panel using the exact same standard as the Meshcore node.
– All internal component mountings inside the lid use 100% mechanical connections—ZERO GLUE, which dries out, degrades, and fails over time under heat or vibration.
– We successfully integrated the Nora Dell CR HEMP protection layer using custom mechanical retention profiles, securing it permanently without creating seam gaps or weak points.
While the main chunk of our production capacity is absorbed by current B2B contracts, Kickstarter will be the primary launchpad for private backers.
